My Comfort system has frozen altogether.  Pressing any key on any of the keypads has no effect otherthan the keypad bleeps.   My Sidekick also does not work and when I try to arm the system - SideKick reports that Comfort is in "Protest Mode".

Any ideas?

Was it working previously? What was the last thing you do?
What is the status of D1 and D2 LEDs on mainboard?

Yes it was working fine previously.  My wife turned the alarm off at night and then tried to re-arm it but with no success.

I have not opened the control panel to see the LEDs as I do not want the alarms to go off as I cannot stop them given the keypads are not working.............

Hi Mark
What does the LCD display?
What LEDs are on or blinking on the keypad?
What sounds do you hear on the keypad?
When you press a key do you hear the beep acknowledging that the key is presssed?

regards

Hi Chiu,

To answer your questions:

1. The LCD display on the 3 keypads appear normal - they also indicate (as usual) when motion detectors have been triggered;

2. There are no blinking LEDs on the Keypad just the usual solid green LED for off is on;

3. The "F" key is the usual short bleep - all other keys give a much longer bleep;

4. As above - yes but the bleep sound is longer for all keys apart from the "F" key.

Chiu

More information - my wife now tells me that she set the alarm off by accident through a motion sensor; turned it off successfully but could not re-arm it.  Unfortunately, I was away on a business trip when this all happened.

I would also add the GSM dialer did not work and when I call in now - it sends me to voicemail??
