Hi
I noticed a message from garym999 from last march who said that when he signs in he gets "Welcome, security off. You have welcome new messages". instead of "You have (number of) new messages". The number has been replaced by the word welcome.
I have just started getting this problem over the last few weeks. I’m also getting false alarms on one zone now. I’ve never had this or any false alarms before. It seemed to start after that earthquake we had recently. Other odd things have happened.
I have comfort 2 with firmware 5.045. I’ve been told before that this is a pre release version and was told a new one would be shipped to me. Can you confirm if this is correct. My emails don’t get replied to on this matter. Any help would be appreciated. I read that the fix for garym999 was to download some new files but I don’t have any way of installing new files or firmware to comfort.
Please help.
Dave

5.045 is a pre-release version which should be replaced.
Your emails should have been replied - can you tell me who you sent the email to (by private message if you want)
Also send your full name address and contact number.
The false alarms should not be related to firmware. Most likely the earthquake damaged some wiring or sensors

Your earlier email to Cytech was filtered out because it had no subject line.
The replacement MPU firmware has now been sent to your address which you provided. You should receive it in a few days
Look at the MPU01 Plug in Module manual in http://www.cytech.biz/manuals.html
This is a Flash version which can be upgraded in future using a UCM05 and Comfigurator.

Hi
Thanks very much for the firmware. I recieved it last week. However, the number of messages problem has not changed. I still get
"Welcome, security off. You have welcome new messages".
Is there a vocabulary file that may have become corrupted or something. Any suggestions?

Hi
I’m using the new firmware that you sent me a few weeks ago and have found that Comfort ignores the number rings that I enter for it to pick up a call. I go to programming 1,1 for number of rings and select "security off", then enter 6#. It then replays "number of rings 0". If I enter any number it replays it as zero.
The first time I tried it replayed the number of rings as "three", then it said "two" and at one point even said "number of rings hash". When I call during security off it answers after 4 rings or so, right after my other answer machine cuts in. So it interrupts my other answer phone message. It then leaves a garbled message on my answer phone. It worked fine under my previous firmware and might change back as the problem with that one was preferable.
The problem that I had under the thread
"Comfort picks up phone line after ring"
seems to have been fixed as I have had no repetitions of that with the new firmware.
Can you please advise? Is this something that you have had before"? I don’t have the ability to program comfort with comfigurator.
I want to make the3 number of rings 6 so that my other answerphone cuts in instead of comfort.
Thanks
Dave

This should not be a problem with he new firmware
Do you have the same problem programming the number of rings for Away Mode, Night Mode etc?
To confirm can you reload the old firmware and see if the problem still exists
