Have water restrictions in out part of the world which say that we can either water on odd or even days. Can one determine whether it is an odd or even day without using a horrible if statement?

Use a Time Program, where you can select any combination of days of the week, to turn on and off your sprinklers

I fully understand the Time Programs facility BUT I need to have my sprinkler system run only on odd days of the month to conform with government enforced water restrictions.

I was thinking that you could perhaps toggle a flag daily to determine whether it is odd or even, and reset it when the day of the month is 1.
