When you do a read from Comfort it only reads the items under the comfort tab. How do you get the info from the modules tab. I am using ver 3.1.1.0 of the software.

From raygregg114
can't scan as comfort or ucm does not allow. Comfort ver 5.164 and UCM ver 5.092. Do these need updated, if so is there instructions and downloads available. Thanks for your help so far.
UCM 5.092 is the old UCM01 hardware which cannot perform the upgrade on Comfort and other modules, nor can its own firmware be upgraded. This was phased out and replaced by the newre flash based UCMs about 7 years ago
See the pictures of the newer UCMs and the old UCM01 at http://www.comfortforums.com/view_topic.php?id=46&forum_id=4
You will need to buy a new UCM/232, /ETherenet or /USB in order to scan and to be able to upgrade its own firmware or other comfort firmware bia the Comfort Bus. The UCM/Ethernet also supports the free Comfort iPhone app, see http://www.comfortforums.com/forum96/2372.html
Did you buy the Comfort and UCM at the same time? I see you have a new Comfort II but an old UCM

Did you buy second-hand then?
Maybe it's worth you posting a picture of your card. I purchased a UCM/Eth card a few years back which was sold as a UCM01 but was actually an early generation UCM05 with flash firmware which I've been upgrading since. Not saying that's what you've got but happened for me!
Has it got the big chip on it in recessed socket or the smaller low profile chip soldered directly on the board?

UCM 5.092 is definately a UCM01. The new UCMs with flash start from 5.100. You should not have been sold an old product. Where did you buy it from?

Sorry to hear that. These people have nothing to do with us (Cytech). . I am afraid you will have to buy a new UCM. I can help you to get a discount on a bew UCM if that would help

I will check in a few hours what I have and the type of UCM (possibly take a photo). Thanks so far for your help. Maybe I would better getting a UCM that can download the firmware for me. I will be in touch soon again.

That is definately a UCM01 which cannot be upgraded by firmware to a UCM05
A UCM05 looks like this
If you mean that you ordered a UCM05 and got this, then you should be able to get a refund
