I'm having an odd problem which probably needs a more considered brain than mine to find a resolution to.I would like to use ST to give me an armed and unarmed status. I've tried to achieve this quite simply by stating IF Alarm is Day or Away set to On therefore ST sets to ARMED.If Alarm is OFF then ST sets to Unarmed.All nearly works the set to Armed status is fine. However when I enter the home it trips into an "intrusion detected" status obviously because the "front door" has been opened AND "siren and Audio is muted".I assume correctly that this is an integral element of Comfort's Day/Away status.Any ideas or ways around this?

front door is usauly set as your entry point and it sounds like that it is working correctly to me, the day/night modes can be customised so that alarm is not activated for certain zones and that will follow through in ST (it does for me) from what I gather it looks as though you need to alter the parameters in comfort for day/night modes so as not to trigger alarm for certain zones.....
Ps
the ST does not respond as quick as the comfort app for displaying what mode the alarm is in, I do believe that Matt did mention this in one of the forums somewhere (the refresh is every few minutes or something like that)
Also you must have your alarm code written into ST Comfort Alarm - cog settings - alarm code.

Yeah that does look like the problem. Though it does not make sense to remove the door as an entry point I dont think. I'm really not familiar with Comfort but I do think you are right there must be a parameter that will achieve this. Hopefully someone can tell me as I suspect everyone will need this if they use ST to monitor alarm state, which is one of the major benefits of Matts App.

The day/night modes are speciffiacly for omiting zones as they are used when people are using property but still want areas alarmed. Away mode is primarily for when no one is in the property. In day mode do you want the alarm status triggered when you answer the door ect so you would omit it, night mode you could have all the internal pirs for example of but all doors and window live.
However you can achieve the same sort of condtion by using the partioning feature although that does require more hardware (keypads)
I havn't got round to pushing the tech with partioning and the ST yet but it is on the cards, Requires a secondry ST hub.......

Is it possible to monitor the Alarm State?
0= Idle
1 = trouble
2 = alert
3 - Alarm
Opening the entry door when system is armed starts the Alert State
Trouble state is 1 (Zone Trouble, Phone trouble, comms failure, low battery, ac failure etc)
A full alarm uis caused by intruder, Panic, fire etc

I do not believe I am able to monitor the alarm state.Thanks for thoughts on this. I have however now resolved it, not ideally but at least it works. I have a Z-Wave lock on the front door which effectively bypasses Comfort in the routine I am now following. I have therefore identified the Lock as being the disarming element in ST. Obviously this doesn't affect the security that I still have from Comfort if someone should bypass the lock. Last edited on Thursday Mar 2nd, 2017 03:56 pm by DavidJ

Hi David
This is a side effect of the ST system. It has the capability of acting like an alarm in certain modes which don't always align with the zones you use in Comfort. I would suggest selecting only the applicable zones in ST to limit the effect of this 'dual monitoring' or even disable the ST alarm zone monitoring as it is fully covered in Comfort (which is much more proficient at this anyway)....
Thanks,
Matt

Thanks Matt I think I've sorted it now as above. Appreciate your input.
