Hi,
I have an older comfort II Ultra system that is running V5.113 firmware on an MPU01. The client has bought a new KP04A V7.xxx which does not seem to want to work with this older firmware.
I am trying to upgrade the firmware in order to get the new keypad to work.
The UCM I am using to upgrade the system is running V6.008. There is another UCM in the system with Unknown firmware but I suspect its V5.xxx. There are also two door stations and one KP04 and now one KP04A.
I am using the programming cable method. I have tried with and without the MPU01 on the mainboard. I have also tried with and without the standard comfort bus cable connected.
Each time I get the same error after selecting the new firmware version which says "firmware upgrade encountered a problem"
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks in advance,jon

Did you insert the shunt into PP2 header, see http://www.comfortforums.com/forum4/1216.html

Can you open the Monitor I/O before starting the Firmware upgrade.
If it fails, Copy to Clipboard and send it to us so we know the cause

Hi Chiu,

I went back to site today and tried again. This time the upgrade was successful. I have no idea what caused the failure on the previous occasion but it was probably engineer error. Ha!

Thanks for the support.

Jon
