Upgrading firmware should not affect the vocabulary, firmware upgrade and vocabulary upgrade are separate operations which have nothing to do wth each other

ok... i'll tried now to proceed with the upgrade but i am not getting...
when i connect the programming cable and insert the jumper in PP2 like in the procedure url... when i turn on the central it get stuck and appear on the Keypad (ID#1 Ver.1.08r) and the keypad is biping constantly and i have no lights on the main board, the rio is blinking red, and the Ethernet is with normal lights.
The thernet is on ID2.
what can be the issue?
Thanks

When you remove the programming cable and reset Comfort, is it still working?
What is the firmware on your UCM/Ethernet? This is found by doing Transfer > System Information
Is your UCM a UCM/ETH01 with orange ethernet module or is it UCM/ETH02 with silver like shown below?
By the way it is not necessary to post on multiple places. We monitor all the forums and will replay as soon as we are able. Please continue to reply to this topic

Hi,
I've created another topic because my first question was regarding the Vocab... but after it turns on the upgrade i will still here..
My ETH01 is the one that have the Orange module. and the version 6.002 and UCM TYPE is 10.
Yes, if i take off the cable and do a reset it start working again....

The beeping noise that you described is the normal behaviour when you connect the programming cable This is normal because the Comfort is in firmware upgrading mode and nothing else will work
Did you go ahead with the Firmware upgrade or did you stop there?
You should continue with the firmware upgrade as described in http://www.comfortforums.com/forum4/1216.html

SRN terminal block is the siren connector. During upgrade the siren may be turned on so you can remove it
Just to clarify that the PP2 should be connected on the Comfort not the UCM
Can you turn on the Monitor I/O before trying again to do the upgrade
then save the monitor I/O and send to us

Hi,
Now i did some tests. before the programming cable connectes i did the system info.
After that i turn off the central and connected the programming cable and shunted PP2, turn on the central and forced the firmware upgrade file ULT6_011.cbf and got this screens
Before send the file for the central with the cable connected i did system information only and got that cannot connect to the UCM
Resuming.. because it was giving me that error connecting to UCM i did not proceed with the firmware upgrade , but now i proceed with the upgrade the messages are different.. product number...
Can you please advise for wich version of firmware do i have to upgrade this central to get iphone working
Many thanks

The problem is that your system is SPC firmware but you are trying to upgrade to ULT This is not allowed hence the message Product Type Does not Match
Firmware camn only be upgraded to the same type
Try upgrading to SPC 6.011 attached
Your UCM will also need to be upgraded to the latest

regarding the UCM upgrade , are you refering to the Ethernet UCM right?
if yes for wich firmware should i have to upgrade to?
and i will be able to upgrade the Ehernet UCM firmware with the boards that i have? or do i have to have a USB board to upgrade the Ethernet board?
Many thanks for your help so far! hope i will have Iphone working

Hello,
I have exactly the same versions, but I have a LEM board on top of the Confort.
Can I just unplug this board (including flat cable) to do the connections, and the upgrade ?Attachment: board.jpg (Downloaded 60 times)
