The Zone not ready (GA 86 HEX), how is this different to the Arm Ready (92 HEX)? Last edited on Tuesday Jun 6th, 2006 12:04 pm by Howser

Zone Not Ready (GA 86 Hex) has a value 0 to 255 which corresponds to the Zone Number which is open during arming
Arm Ready (GA 92hex) ON or OFF value tells whether the system can be armed (ie all security zones closed) or not
Hence one message tells you the overall status ready or not ready, and the other tells you which zone is open when you try to arm

I am using Toolkit version 1.4.0
Piced 3.6.0
I have a CBUS PAC that I use to monitor movement in the house. Currently the logic to do that takes a lot of resources because I monitor a lot of GA (about 20) in Application 1 (with a lot of once statements).
I am trying to find an easier way of checking if there is any movement (unsealed zones), then monitor the GA's and I would like to stop the monitoring module immediately when the zones have been sealed.
I have tried using “Zone Not Ready†in the Security Application, but that tells me which GA is unsealed, and does not change back to maybe zero when all zones are sealed. So it shows when there is an open door or movement, but does not indicate when there is no movement or open door.
What makes this difficult is the fact that Toolkit does not show security application messages, so I cannot see which activities are fired from Comfort, and what sequence they are fired to figure out what the best way of doing this will be.
The Comfort to C-Bus Interface Manual does not go into details on when the Security Messages are sent and what order and so forth, where can I find this info.

The security messages are sent from Comfort to Cbus once they occur, there is no fixed order, and there is no delay from Comfort
If zone 1 triggers then zone 2m the the releavent GA will be sent in that order when they occur.
Not sure what you need but I hope this helps

Not really,
After monitoring messages on the network, I noted that when a zone is "unsealed",GA 86 has the zone number as a level, and when that zone is sealed again GA 87 will have the zone number as a level.
I think I can use this to determine if there is any movement/door open.
The only catch is, if movement is in one zone, at the end, Zone Ready (GA 87) and Zone Not Ready (GA 86) will have the same level, and if there is further movement in the same zone, you will never know, utill another zone is unsealed.......

A belated comment on this topic
None of the CBus devices including the C-Touch can really understand the Security Application. according to Clipsal this will change, but no news on when

Thanks, in the meantime, I will have to handle this with extra code in the PAC unit.
