Hi THere , Can Anybody help Me. i Accidentaly Pulled My C Bus Cable out Of the Ucm Cbus /ucm On the Comfort Board Witht The C Bus Chip 5.154 On the Board is A Black 10 Pin Socket Where The C Bus Clipsal Module Plugs Into.
The C Bus Sim Has Unplugged From the Comfort Board And Now I Canot Send Cbus to Comfort Commands, However Comfort To C Bus Works ??? Maybe i Plugged the c Bus SIM into the Wrong 5 Sockets on the Board.
On the Clipsal Board Marked 1223/7 there Are 4 Pins That Go into The Socket With 10 Pins in. Do they Fo into the Left 5 Or Rear 5 or Front ?? Please Help
Thaks, Clinton

Clinton,
Have a look at the picture below, I drew a quick box around the connector, the first pin should go into the bottom right corner - see the little red dots I put on there.
Also check with CBus Toolkit that the CBus side didn't lose it's config or addressing.

Communications Failure 18 means the UCM #2 (presumably the UCM/Cbus) is not communicating
Check the UCM ID shunt is set to 2, ie SW7 A removed and do a reset of the UCM/Cbus

Did you check the UCm ID ?
Are you still getting Communications Failure 18?

What you describe does not make sense
If the SIM is plugged in correctly, it can send and receive from CBis
If it is not plugged in correctly, it cannot send or receive from Cbus
If plugged in correctly, the RDY (green) LED on the UCM should be on, and the BUSY1, BUSY2, ERROR (RED) leds should be OFF
See the attached photo for the correct pins to plug in

If the ERROR led remains on it means that it is not detecting Cbus
Are the SW7 shunts are set correctly for UCM #2 ie A removed, and others B to D inserted and are the D9 RED led and D10 (green) leds both flashing?
If the D9 and D10 leds are not flashing that means the ID is incorrect
The shunts may be having poor contact. Try using shunts from elsewhere
Do a Scan for UCMs in Comfigurator Modules Tab

You will have to explain more clearly what exactly is your configuration.
What is the UCM/Cbus ID?
What is the UCM/Universal ID?
You say you have A not inserted, B inserted, C not inserted in one of the posts
This is an ID of 6!
How many UCMs do you have? and does it correspond with the Number of UCMs in Mindit?
You say you have Communications Failure 18. This means UCM ID2 is not communicating
If you have D9 and D10 leds flashing on the UCM/Cbus then it should not be the UCm which is failing to comunicate
You may have a clash of UCM IDs. You must not have 2 UCMs with the same ID
Make sure each UCM is set to a unique ID 1,2,3 etc and there must be no missing Ids ie you cannot have ID1, and ID3 with no ID2
I dont think flashing the firmware is going to solve the problem if it was working
before you removed the SIM. Mindit V2 does not support flashing anyway
Let us have ALL the products and their firmware version in your system
Mindit firmware?
UCM/Cbus firmware?
Universal Firmware? Are you sure you have this type of UCM as it has not been released formally? Do you mean a normal programming UCM ?

unfortumately i Do Not Know the ID And Shunt Requirements

The System Was Working Perfect For 3 Years Not one Glitch
Then While doing a Plumbing Change in The Ceiling i Hooked The C Bus Cable. So i Cut the Power Off And Reset From There No Cbus To Minder/Comfort..
I Installed Comfigurator 3 And Got the Following

Can you get someone on site to take a look at your setup?
It may be too difficult to find out enough info from here
