I had to change the Comfort 1 board on a commercial job, the power supply side failed, but it appeared to be all working fine on battery.
The replacement Board, from Andrew at Comfort Home Controls had a 4.207 processor and file system 18. I changed ALL the plug in chips from the old board and installed them on the new one, so it now had a Version 4.225 Processor. I uploaded ‘System Information’ and it said it now had File system 24, which I was using. Everything seemed as before, except there is now a different voice and some of the names are no longer announced as they were written.
I downloaded the comfort file and all appeared to be working apart from some of the responses, which either do not work or switch the wrong output. Also it does not auto arm within a response anymore, although arming on the keypad works fine.
The system controls lights, roller shutter Urinal flushing, water heating etc. All these appear to be working as usual and the time programs, via a response also works. The ones I seem to be having trouble with seem to be the ones which contain ‘Flags’, although there are others not working.
Can anyone give any tips as to what may be corrupting the file and responses? Should I put all the new chips back on the board and convert the file from 24 to File system 18?
Many Thanks Graham

The "new" Comfort I board has a different voice and vocabulary because the voice in the Flash is programmed differently. To get your words to correspond with the voice, go to Configuration > Modules and settings > Wordlists and select Standard Residential in your ccl file in Comfigurator
Send the ccl file to support@cytech.biz if you need help in determining why some of the responses are not working. Let us know which responses in the file to look at
In future if you have to change any Comfort I systems, I suggest that you upgrade to Comfort II, as it is easier to provide support on this. We stopped production of Comfort I more than 3 years ago due to end of production of some key ICs so spare parts are going to be a problem in future. There are attractive upgrade offers for Comfort I customers in http://www.comfortforums.com/forum25/1403.html
Lastly please note that Comfort Home Controls is not a distributor of Comfort and do not have current stock. You can find authorised Comfort distributors on our Cytech Europe website http://www.cytech-europe.co.uk/cms/installers.php
