How can I program Comfort system using Comfigurator so that it can do the following jobs?

1. "When the Comfort system is armed, if a visitor press the door station (DP03), it can call to my mobile phone, so that I can talk to the visitor"

2. "I can use my mobile phone to call to my Comfort system and speak out thru keypad (KP04).

Thank you.

For Door Station Dialout;
Go to Alarm Types, select Doorbell. This alarm is activated when the doorbell is pressed when the system is armed to Away or Vacation Mode
Enable the dial out by checking the dialout box and select the phone (1 to 8) to dial out

For Keypad Intercom
Call to Comfort, sign in using * + (code)+ # key
The voice menu will be heard
Press 5 for Voice Station to intercom with the door station
If you have more than 1 keypad, the menu will say "select station to to N" where N is the number of  keypads

Is it possible to get comfort to dial out if there has been no response on the keypads or local phones?  Woprking on a Big House on a farm so they could be walking around out side without the alarm set.

There is an action "Force Dialout for Door station" which forces the door station to dial out when it is part of the Doorbell Response. It will not work at the end of a Timer delay
What you can do is to start a timer when the doorbell is first pressed say for 60 seconds

When the doorbell is pressed, if the timer is running, ie if it is within 60 seconds of it being pressed the first time, Force Door station Dialout.

Usually people will press the doorbell again if there is no answer.
You can refine the response by using another timer for say 10 seconds so that if the doorbell is pressed within 10 seconds it will not force the dial out, to cater for people pressing the doorbell several times in a short period

Try the attached file. This has not been tested and may need some refinement
On the 2nd press of the button within 10 to 60 seconds after the 1st press, it will force a dialout

The revised attached file has been tested
On the first press, the doorbell announces "Doorbell"
Timer 2 will stop the ringer after 10 seconds and announce "doorbell stop"
When the doorbell is pressed again wuthin 60 seconds, the door station announces "Doorbell call" and dials out

That right. The say words action is used to make the announcements "doorbell", DoorBell end" and "doorbell call" and can be changed if required, or you can play Reminder messages which you can record.
The timer values of 10 seconds and 60 seconds can also be changed

Hi,

I presume that the "say words" action = Action code 199 , in your attached example

When I try and program this Action code 199 response, it doesn't work. The date/Time is announced instead of the words I program.

I have a Comfort pro Gen1, with v4.22 firmware. Was this Action code 199 added in later Firmware releases?

Thanks

Action 199 was implemented from Action 4.233 onwards
This is documented in the Action Codes Manual downloadable from http://www.cytech.biz/manuals.html

If you have Comfort I Pro 4.22 (not 4.220) it should be have been built in 1998.!

The firmware I have is v4.222  (4.22 was a typo)

I want Comfort to announce when an event has happened such as "Heater On"

If I do not upgrade to 4.233, then it appears the only way i can do this is to record and play back a reminder message, when the event occurs.

Can you confirm?

Thanks

Yes you can use the action Play Reminder Message N on keypads/door stations triggered by any event
You record a reminder message 1 to 8 on the keypad or telephone - telephone in preffered for lower noise

We gave determined that Action 199 (Say Words) does not work in Comfort I 4.234 or any Comfort I firmware. You need Comfort II for this action

I have a Fermax intercom on the gate and also at the front door. I have integrated this with 2 X DM01 interfaces. Now ever since I have had this installed I cannot get the volume right and I can hardly hear the caller on my mobile phone. The level is not too bad on the house phone and similar to that of the Fermax handset.
Are the adjustments I can make to get the Fermax intercom louder on my mobile? The Menu and answer phone level is fine over the mobile.
If I changed to DMO2 interfaces for the Fermax, is this going to improve anything?

Any thoughts on this greatly appreciated. Thanks Graham

We need to know what Comfort firmware you have, Comfort I or Comfort II, and what firmware versions

If Comfort II you should upgrade to the latest firmware currently 5.183, see http://www.comfortforums.com/forum79/1784.html for download link and history

Also upgrade to the latest Comfigurator 3.1.9 and do a selective write of Tuning parameters to the system This should give good audio levels for the Intercom

Lets close this topic and start a new topic  in the "Problems and Troibleshooting" forum at http://www.comfortforums.com/forum36/ devoted to your question rather than adding to  the end of this post which is not related, to do with how to dial out for door station
